A goal from Franck Ribery was enough to take Bayern Munich to
the top of the Bundesliga for the first time since May 2008 thanks
to a narrow win over Hamburg.
The Frenchman struck in the 78th minute of an evenly-contested
game to take the Bavarians above Bayer Leverkusen, who could only
manage a 0-0 draw against Cologne yesterday.
Hamburg struck the woodwork as they went close to an equaliser
but Bayern held on for all three points to move two points clear
at the top.
