Scudetto-chasing Juventus drew at Lazio tonight as they failed to
take full advantage of Serie A leaders Inter Milan's defeat.
With an opportunity to cut Inter's advantage at the top of the table
to just one point after the Nerazzurri's 3-1 loss at Atalanta, Juve
only managed to share the spoils in Rome.
Cristian Ledesma opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute
before Olof Mellberg equalised on the half-hour mark.
Juve were unlucky not to claim all three points as Nicola Legrottaglie's
bullet strike from the distance hit the post with four minutes remaining.
The latest results have left the Turin giants three points adrift
of three-time defending champions Inter at the half-way point of
the season.
