Barcelona's fringe players proved too good for Deportivo La Coruna
and kept the Catalans on course for a second straight league title
under Pep Guardiola with a convincing 3-0 win at the Nou Camp.
Bojan Krkic, in for the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic, opened the
scoring after a quarter of an hour, before Pedro and Yaya Toure
- in an out of the side all season - added fantastic strikes in
the second half to keep Barca in pole position in the table.
The Catalans moved provisionally six points clear of fierce rivals
Real Madrid at the top of the table with six games remaining. Madrid,
with an extra match left, face Almeria tomorrow night.
That means the Catalans have their fate in their own hands, but
with his squad tired from the monumental effort in their victory
at the Santiago Bernabeu last weekend and a tough match at city
rivals Espanyol awaiting on Saturday, Guardiola chose to rotate.
