Manchester United can never have a quiet season it seems, and the past year has had it all.

Another trip to Cardiff saw the Reds add more silverware to their overflowing trophy cabinet as they thrashed Wigan in some style to win the Carling Cup. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea were turned over in some of the most exciting and enthralling encounters Old Trafford has seen.

United were within touching distance of the top, with Louis Saha showing off his sensational striking skills and Rooney and Ronaldo continuing to wow the crowds, always in the knowledge that the team were in the safest hands possible, with the world class Van der Sar in goal.
