| The 2005/2006 season was the last to be played at Arsenal's
Highbury home of 93 years and the landmark season witnessed Arsene
Wenger's new breed of stars capture the imagination of Gunners fans
with their exhilarating and fast flowing football.
Highbury witnessed a grandstand finish to the Premier League season
as results on the final day of the season ensured Arsenal would
once again have the chance to take on Europe's finest in the Champions
League. It was a fitting send off to the Club's famous home and
ensured that the Club would commence the new era at Emirates Stadium
with much to look forward to and much to reflect upon.
Arsenal took Europe by storm, reaching the final of the UEFA Champions
League for the first time in the Club's history, where they narrowly
lost out to the Spanish champions Barcelona following a spirited
performance with ten men. Relive all the drama from the historic

Any disappointment following the defeat to Barcelona was dispelled
just two days later when Thierry Henry committed himself to the
Club with a new four year contract. During season 2005/2006 Thierry

record for the Gunners and once again he won the Premiership Golden
